The Daily Pulse:

The Arts and Culture Alliance Wants Your Photos

The Knoxville Arts and Culture Alliance is calling for submissions for its first annual juried photo exhibition.

The show was developed to "provide a forum for artists to compete on a national scale." About 40-50 photos will be selected to make up the exhibition in the main gallery of the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture (100 S. Gay Street) from July 5-26.

The deadline to send in your entries is Sunday, May 19 at midnight.

Here are some requirements: the original works must have been completed within the last two years; the categories of the exhibit are "The Human Experience," "Our Earth," "Travel," and "Digital Imagination."

The entry fee for up to three images is $30 ($20 for Alliance members and students). Up to seven images can be submitted for $5 each ($4 for members and students).

You can check out some more specific requirements for size and quality--as well as submit photos--at the exhibition's website. You can also male them to Suzanne Cada, Arts and Culture Alliance, P.O. Box 2506, Knoxville, TN 37901.

You could win up to $600 in cash.
