The Daily Plan-It: Tax Assistance, 100 Block Happy Hour, and the Harlem Globetrotters

Good morning! Everyone still here? Good enough! Pour yourself a cup of coffee and take a look at what's going on today.

There will be people available to help low- to moderate-income families file their taxes starting at 10 a.m. at the Goodwill Industries of Knoxville (5307 Kingston Pike). The service will be available till April 13. So get those taxes filed! Call (865) 588-8567 for more info.

At noon in the visitor center, Sunshine Station will play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special series. So bring your lunch and enjoy the free entertainment.

Do you live, work, or play on the 100 block of Gay Street? The 100 Block is hosting a happy hour at Cru Bistro form 5 to 7 p.m. There will be drink specials and prizes (!) from the 100 Block's newest retailer, Style of Civilization, so bring your business cards! It's absolutely free to attend. Check out the drink specials at the event's Facebook page.

At 6 p.m., Carrie Jackson will lead a zumba and ab class at Southside Baptist Church. It's $5 to attend the class. Check out Jackson's website for more info.

The Harlem Globetrotters will make a stop in Knoxville at the Thompson-Boling Arena tonight at 7 p.m. Ticket to the show are $20. Buy them here.
