The Daily Pulse:

Great. MORE Street Closures Downtown.

Ok, we know buildings need repairs sometimes, and we know repairs on massive buildings like the City County Building are bound to take a long time, but with all the street closures downtown lately, you can't expect us to be thrilled that Hill Avenue will be closed for 11 days.

Anyway, plan your driving and parking routines accordingly. Full press release below:

Because of needed maintenance and repair of the City County Building roof, Hill Avenue in front of the building will be closed to through traffic between Walnut Street and Gay Street from at least Monday, April 15th, to Friday, April 26th. The closure will accommodate a large construction crane. This is the first of three expected closures this year.

Vehicles will be able to enter and exit the City County Building garage, but vehicles exiting onto Hill Avenue will be able to turn left only. The Public Building Authority is supervising the work, and PBA officers will monitor traffic to ensure flow. But commuters in the area of Hill, Walnut, Main and Gay streets should be ready for possible delays, particularly during evening rush hour.
