The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Summer Planting Class, Zumba, and the Doc Marshalls

Good morning! Did we all make it through all those festivals? Good. Take it easy today and check out what's going on.

A noon in the visitor center, Morgan O'Kane will perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with Miss Tess. It's free to attend, as always. Bring your lunch!

This evening at 5, the Beardsley Community Farm will have a summer planting class. It's free to attend! Garden-y types, this is a good chance to pick up some tips! (Also, it's Earth Day. If that has any sway on your decision.)

The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will have a gentle yoga and meditation class at 5:30. Donations are accepted. For more info, call (865) 577-2021 or email

If you like a faster-paced workout, there will be a zumba class at Concord United Methodist Church in Farragut at 7:30. It's $3 to attend. Call (865) 591-4058 for more info.

Nashville/New York alt-country band the Doc Marshalls will play at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria tonight at 8. The show's free to attend!

It's Comedy Con Queso Open Mic Night at the Well! There's no cover, and you get free cheese if you open a tab. 21+ only.

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub, where Rusty Belle, Morgan O'Kane, Ferd Moyse, and Matt Morelock will perform at 10 p.m. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
