The Daily Pulse:

Ladies and Gentlemen, Here are Your Fragile 15

This morning, Knox Heritage announced its Fragile 15 list of vulnerable historic sites in the Kennedy-Baker-Walker-Sherrill House, which was once on the Fragile 15 list and has since been removed. It's currently being renovated by Bill and Katie Hodges, and should be completed by next year.

Three properties in Fort Sanders are at the top of the list, followed by Kern's Bakery on Chapman Highway, the Standard Knitting Mill, the French Broad River Corridor, the Tennessee Supreme Court Building on Cumberland, the Martin-Russell House on Kingston Pike, three historic Knox County school buildings, the McClung Warehouses, two properties along the Magnolia Avenue Corridor, four buildings on UT's campus, the Eugenia Williams House on Lyons View Pike, the Cal Johnson Building on State Street, the Isaac Anderson Cabin at Shannondale Valley Farms, the Lloyd Branson House, and, finally, the Sanitary Laundry and Dry Cleaning Building on N. Broadway.

Check out Knox Heritage's website for more details about the history of the buildings and what actions the group is taking to protect the buildings.
