The Daily Plan-It: Knoxville Writers' Group, Life Drawing Session, and the Roast of Batman

Good morning! Happy hump day! Take a look at how you could be spending your time.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Knoxville Writers' Group will meet at Naples for lunch and some discussion. Lunch is $12. For more info, call (865) 983-3740.

The Bookaholics Book Group will meet at Union Avenue Books at noon to discuss The Orchardist by Amanda Coplin. It's free to attend! Go chat and make friends!

At 2 p.m., the Candoro Arts and Heritage Center will have a life drawing session for artists to sketch or paint live models without instruction. No membership is require. It's $10 to participate. Bring your preferred sketching materials.For more info, call (865) 573-0709.

If you're planning to get dinner or drinks at the Bistro at the Bijou tonight, be there around 7 to catch the Nick Swofford Trio, who will play some live jazz while you dine. No cover!

At 9 p.m., the Pilot Light will host the Roast of Batman. A cast of villains the caped crusader has run into will do the roasting. It's $5-$7 to attend. Buy tickets here. 18+ only.

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub, where Gumbo Ce Soir will play at 10 p.m. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
