At 11 a.m., the Secret City Festival kicks off at Bissell Park and goes through Saturday night. The Dirty Guv'nahs will perform tonight at 7 at the UCOR Concert Stage. Saturday night's headliner is Rick Springfield (of "Jessie's Girl" fame). (He was also on ER for a while.) Tickets are $17-$20.
At noon in the visitor center, Jim Avett will play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with the Green Boys. As always, it's free to attend.
Want to take in some visual art AND music at the same time? The Carib Sounds Steel Band will perform at the Knoxville Museum of Art at 6 p.m. It's $10 to attend.
The Sandman, known as the the David Copperfield of hypnotism, will be at Sidesplitters Comedy Club tonight at 7:45. Tickets are $8-$12. Buy them here. 18+ only.

Boat lovers! Wake up early and head to Concord Park at 8 a.m. for the KARM Dragon Boat Festival. Dragon boats are powered by 20 rowers of all ages and physiques, and they've all pledged to raise money for the Knox Area Rescue Ministries. Go cheer them on!

PrideFest 2013 starts in World's Fair Park at 1 p.m. Show your support for Knoxville's LGBT community and join them for what promises to be a fun afternoon downtown.
