The Daily Plan-It: "Cats in Outer Space," Dave Arcari, and the Ghost Wolves

Is that the sun? Can you believe it? It's still a bit shocking, isn't it? Anyway, pour yourself some coffee and take a look at what's going on today.

At 11 a.m., the Birdhouse opens, and will feature an art exhibit from Mandy Stoller called "Cats in Outer Space." What reason do you have to miss this? It'll be on display throughout July. The gallery closes at 3 p.m. today. It's free to check out!

At noon, the Cancer Support Community of East Tennessee will have a nutrition ammunition class on diet and nutrition for cancer patients and survivors. For more info call (865) 546-4661.

At 6 p.m., Carrie Jackson will lead a zumba class at Southside Baptist Church. It's $5 to attend. Check out Jackson's website for more info.

If you're lingering downtown after dinner, mosey on over to Market Square, where the Marble City 5 will be playing a free show as part of the city's Jazz on the Square series. 

Scottish bluesman Dave Arcari will be rocking the Preservation Pub at 10 p.m. with Billy Lawson in support of Arcari's new album Whiskey in my Blood. The show's free to attend! 21+ only.

Austin, Texas duo the Ghost Wolves will play the first of three shows this month at the Pilot Light tonight at 10. The Wolves are making Knoxville their summer base while they tour the Southeast. The show's free to attend. 18+ only.
