The Daily Plan-It: Greg Tardy and the KJO, the Civil War Roundtable, and Southern Fried Bass

Good morning! Get through today, and then it's the weekend for a lot of you! That's awesome! Let's celebrate!

At noon, go out for lunch and tunes. For $15, chow down and listen to internationally renowned saxophonist and University of Tennessee instructor Greg Tardy play his own compositions at the KJO Jazz Lunch. Buy tickets here.

Artists! At 2 p.m., the Candoro Arts and Heritage Center will have a life drawing session with live models. There will be no instructions. Bring your sketching materials of choice. It's $10 to participate. For more info, call (865) 573-0709.

At 7 p.m., the Birdhouse will have an improv comedy class. It's free to attend! Go hone your comedic timing and quick thinking.

The Civil War Roundtable will meet at the Bearden Banquet Hall for their monthly meeting for a lecture and discussion. Admission to the lecture is $5. If you'd like to have dinner before hand, it's $15 for members and $17 for non-members. For more info, call (865) 691-9001.

Tonight is Southern Fried Bass night at NV Nightclub. Featured bands include Forte Forte, FatGuy, SexStain, KG, and ContraPresented by Knox Bass Mafia. It's $5 to get in. 18+ only.
