The Daily Plan-It: Terrence J. Winschel, Improv Comedy Class, and Dale Watson

Good morning! Happy hump day! We're halfway through the week! So pour yourself some coffee and take a look at what's going on today.

At 11 a.m., the Market Square Farmers Market gets started and goes until 2 p.m. Take a long lunch and mosey on over to pick up some veggies or fruit for dinner tonight.

At noon, Terrence J. Winschel will lead a discussion entitled "Unvexed to the Sea" at the East Tennessee History Center. Winschel is a retired historian for the Vicksburg National Military Park in Mississippi, and will talk about the battle there. It's free to attend! History lovers, don't miss this!

At 4 p.m., Annette Mendola will discuss literature and medicine as part of the UT Graduate School of Medicine's "Healing Words: Stories, Medicine, and Meaning" series. It's absolutely free to attend! 

The Birdhouse will host an improv comedy class tonight at 7 p.m. Go brush up on your comedic timing and fast thinking for free!

Then at 8 p.m., head over to the Well for some old-fashioned honky-tonk tunes from Dale Watson, who'll perform with J.C. and the Dirty Smokers. It's $12 to attend. 21+ only.

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub, where the Blackfoot Gypsies will play at 10 p.m. Cover is $5. 21+ only.
