The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Zumba for Kids, Hindu Cowboys, and Cereus Bright

Good morning! Happy July! Here's what's going on today to start the month.

At 10:15 a.m., round up the kiddos and take them down to Farragut Town Hall for some ZumbAtomic zumba for kids. Get some of that energy out early! It's $3 to participate.

The Hindu Cowboys will play at noon in the visitor center for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with the David Clifton Band. It's free to attend, and it's also a good play to pick up tickets for tonight's Tennessee Shines show (more on that later). The Hindu Cowboys will also play tonight at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria at 8 p.m.

At 5:30, take it easy by heading over to the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church for some gentle yoga and meditation. Donations will be accepted. For more info, call (865) 577-2021 or email

Local pop-folk band Cereus Bright will perform for WDVX's Tennessee Shines tonight at 7 p.m. and will be joined by members of the Tennessee Stage Company. Tickets to the live show are $10.

Wrap up the night at the Well's Comedy Con Queso Open Mic Night, which starts at 9 p.m. If you open a tab, you get free cheese. No cover! 21+ only.
