The Daily Plan-It: Civil War Artifact Preservation, Tribute to Women, and Band of Heathens

Good morning! It's shaping up to be a busy day, so get out and enjoy it!

At noon, the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will have a gentle yoga and meditation session. Donations will be accepted. For more info, email or call (865) 577-2021. 

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, the Tennessee State Library and Archives is sending out teams of archivists and conservators around the state to digitally copy and assist in the preservation of Civil War-era manuscripts, artifacts, and photographs. If you have some, you can bring them to the East Tennessee History Center today between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to get them checked out, copied, and preserved. Feeling outdoorsy? Tonight, the Knoxville Ski and Outing Club will have an open sign-up night for anyone to come sign up to join the club's outings. It's $10 to sign up, and the meeting will be held at Concord Yacht Club tonight at 6 p.m. 

Tonight at 7 p.m., the YWCA's Tribute to Women awards ceremony will take place at the Bijou Theatre. Tickets are $75, and can be purchased by calling (865) 523-6126. Check out the organization's website for more info on the event.

Austin Americana rockers Band of Heathens will play at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria tonight at 8 p.m. The show's free to attend!

The Vaygues will play at the Pilot Light tonight at 10 with Dullahan. It's $5 to get in. 18+ only.
