The Knoxville Tattoo Convention kicks off at 3 p.m. at the the Holiday Inn (World's Fair Park). Nearly 90 artists will be on hand at the three-day event, and they'll be doing some live tattooing while there. Go check out the artists' work, the vendors, and the "sideshows." The Carpetbag Theatre will present Ashley Wilkerson's one-woman play "Freckle in my Eye," about a woman on death row in Texas. The show starts at 7 p.m. at My Place Performing Arts (on Hall of Fame Drive). Tickets are $15-$20. Buy them here.

At 10 p.m., Nashville rockers Diarrhea Planet will take the stage at the Pilot Light with the So So Glos. Tickets are $10. 18+ only.
The East Tennessee History Fair starts at 10 a.m. at the East Tennessee History Center. Learn a little more about the history of Knoxville with some tours of historic downtown, tours of the museum, kids' activities, and more. Take a look at the full schedule here.
The Preservation Pub's months-long Band Eat Band competition will culminate in a live seven-band showdown on Market Square starting at 4 p.m. Featured bands include Backup Planet, Baseball the Band, the Crumbsnatchers, Grandpa's Stash, the Jojax, King Super and the Excellents, and Vagabond Philosophy. It's free and open to everyone!
