The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: All Over the Page, Green Party Open Discussion, and Comedy Con Queso

Good morning! It's Monday, so good job for showing up. Here's what's going on today.

Local painter Brandan Cox's first public art exhibit "Dream Big" is on display at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture through Sept. 27. The display features nearly 40 abstract oil paintings. It's free to go check out his work. The Emporium Center opens at 9 a.m.

At noon in the visitor center, Honey Spine will play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with Beth Bombara. As always, it's free to attend.

At 6:30 in Lawson McGhee Library, the All Over the Page book club will meet to discuss British author Julian Barnes' novel The Sense of an Ending (a fabulous read, if I may say so). It's absolutely free to attend.

The Knoxville Green Party will have an open discussion tonight at 7 p.m. at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria. It's free to attend. For more info call (865) 523-6775.

Wrap up the night at the Well, where Comedy Con Queso Open Mic Night starts at 9. If you open a tab, you get free cheese. No cover! 21+ only.
