The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: 'Echo of the Object,' Life Drawing Session, and Miss Tess

Good morning! Happy hump day! (Try to contain your excitement about the midweek.) Here's what's going on today.

The Downtown Gallery opens at 11 a.m. and is currently home to an exhibit by Ball State University faculty members Hannah Barnes, Jennifer Halvorson, David Hannon, and Jacinda Russell. "Echo of the Object" will only be on display through Sept. 26. Better get there soon to check it out--it's free!

At noon in the visitor center, catch Al Vanderveen, Ben Reel, and Tommy Womack, who will all play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special. As always, it's free to attend. Might be a nice place to take your lunch if it's raining!

Artists! The Candoro Arts and Heritage Center will have a life drawing session this afternoon at 2 p.m. There will be live models, but no instruction. Just bring you sketching materials, and $10 to participate. For more info, call (865) 573-0709.

This evening at 8, catch Miss Tess at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria for tunes somewhere between ragtime, jazz, blues, and country. It's free to attend!

If you're still out and about at 10 p.m., catch Katie and the Bass Drums at the Preservation Pub. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
