The Daily Plan-It: Farmers' Market, Books Sandwiched In, and the Wood Brothers

Good morning, and happy hump day! Can you see the weekend? It's so close! But here's what's going on today.

At 11 a.m., the Market Square Farmers' Market opens. Go pick up some veggies for dinner and a pastry to snack on. 

At noon, the Knox County Public Library's monthly reading group Books Sandwiched In will meet at the East Tennessee History Center. UT professor Chad Hellwinckel will lead the discussion on The One-Straw Revolution: An Introduction to Natural Farming by Masanobu Fukuoka. It's free to attend!

The Candoro Arts and Heritage Center will have a life drawing session at 2 p.m. There won't be an instructor, just live models and space to work. Artists, bring your sketching materials of choice. It's $10 to participate. For more info call (865) 573-0709.

The Wood Brothers will perform at the Bijou Theatre tonight at 8 p.m. with Piers Faccini, and Dom La Nena. Tickets are $18. Buy them here.

The Busdriver Tour, the East Tennessee/Montana Americana outfit, are home to play a show at the Preservation Pub at 10 p.m. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
