Good morning! We're almost there! The weekend is so close! But here's what's going on today (there's plenty to keep you busy). 

The Ewing Gallery will have on display textile artist Fransje Killaars' "Color at the Center" exhibit. It's free to go check out the work! The gallery opens at 10 a.m.

Author Jeff Speck will be at the East Tennessee History Center this afternoon at 1:30 to talk about his new book Walkable City: How Downtown Can Save America One Step at a Time. It's free to attend.

At 6 p.m., the Sexual Assault Crisis Center will have a confidential support group meeting for men who are survivors of sexual abuse or sexual assault. Please call (865) 558-9040 before attending a meeting.

The East Tennessee Screenwriters will get together tonight at 6:30 at the TIme Warp Tea Room. For more info call (865) 455-0133.

Country-blues-rockers the Deadstring Brothers will play at the Well tonight at 9 p.m. with the Whiskey Sessions. Cover's $5. 21+ only.
