The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Civil War Contraband Camps, Bollywood Dance Class, and Alash

Good morning! We made it through the hardest part of the week. Now take a look at what's going on today.

The Howlin' Brothers will play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special at noon in the visitor center with the Royal Hounds. It's free to attend, as always. Bring your lunch!

As part of UT's humanities lecture series, Dr. Amy Murrell Taylor, a history professor at the University of Kentucky, will give a talk about Civil War contraband camps. She'll be in the Shiloh Room at the University Center at 4 p.m. It's free to attend!

If you're in a rut with your current workout, try a Bollywood dance class. There will be one tonight at 6 at the Broadway Academy of Performing Arts and Events (706 N. Broadway). It's $10-$15 to participate.

Tuvan music group Alash will perform at 7:30 in the Haslam Music Center as part of UT's Distinguished Lecture Series in Musicology. It's free to attend. Don't miss them!

Wind down at the Well tonight, where Travis Niceley will perform at 10 p.m. There's no cover! 21+ only.
