The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Oktoberfest, Boo! at the Zoo, and Hunter Hayes

Good morning! We all set for the day? Good. Take a look at what's going on.

At noon in the visitor center, Josh Oliver and Cornelia Overton will perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with Hillary Scott. As always, it's free to attend.

Restaurant Linderhof in Farragut will have a traditional German Oktoberfest today from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Beer, food, and music are involved. And it's only $5 to attend. Go.

Boo! at the Zoo returns to the Knoxville Zoo this afternoon at 5:30. It's $6 to attend, and it's a family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween. More info here.

At 7:30, country star Hunter Hayes will take the stage at the Coliseum with Ashley Monroe (one-third of the Pistol Annies). Tickets are $36-$41.50. Buy them here.

If you missed Josh Oliver and Cornelia Overton at noon, you can catch them at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria at 8 p.m. with the Dead Winter Carpenters. The show's free!

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub, where Yak Strangler will play at 10 p.m. with the Crumbsnatchers. No cover! 21+ only.
