The Daily Pulse:

More Fun November Food Events!

Supper clubs have been a thing in other cities for the past few years, but they haven't hit Knoxville with any fanfare. That is, until now! The fine folks behind the Savory and Sweet Truck, the Bull's BBQ truck, and Organicism Farms have joined forces to bring you the Moveable Feast Supper Club, which will kick off its first dinner on Nov. 22 at Everything Mushrooms on Sevier Ave. Here's the menu, which sounds amazing:

Moveable Feast Supper Club Fall Harvest Dinner

Mushrooms on Toast
Lion's Mane, Oyster and Shiitake mushroom cream, crispy sourdough crostini, smoky bacon kale, crispy shallots

Root Veg Salad
Warm balsamic reduction, root vegetable salad, smoked fennel, toasted pumpkin seeds, ghost pepper mustard aioli

Hot Knox
Our take on the infamous Hot Brown
Grilled herb dressing bread, deep fried turkey, tomato jam, house candied jalapeño bacon, micro greens celery

Harvest Tart
Homemade pop tart, caramelized apples, pork belly, maple glaze, flaky pastry crust

Coffee & Doughnut
Three Bears locally roasted Terruno Nayarita coffee, Mini Pumpkin Doughnuts

Tickets are $50 and should be purchased in advance. Get them before they sell out!
We also now have the menu for this Sunday's pop-up dinner at the Public House, which we wrote about the other week. Each course will be paired with a different beer for $45, or you can opt to make your own beverage choices and pay $30 for the four-course meal, which is absolutely a bargain. Here's what Karl McKim will be serving:

First course
'Buffalo style' deviled eggs-cayenne, vinegar, celery leaf, chicken chicharrones.
Paired with Little Yella Pils

Second course
Charred cabbage and sausage salad-cabbage, apple and cheddar sausage, pickled onions, pickled mustard seed, dijon-thyme vinaigrette.
Paired with G'night Imperial Red IPA

Third course
Beer braised beef short rib-braised vegetables (likely carrots, celery potatoes, brussels sprouts), crispy turnips, beer braise reduction.
Paired with Dale's Pale Ale

Fourth course
Chocolate hazelnut trifle-old chub chocolate cake, hazelnut mousse, chocolate ganache, mocha whipped cream.
Paired with Old Chub Scottish Ale

You don't have to buy tickets for this dinner in advance, but you do need to call the bar to make reservations.
