The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Art by Christine Patterson, Yoga, and Bombadil

Good morning! It's Monday again. So pour an extra cup of coffee and take a look at what's going on around town today.

Bennett Galleries and Company in Bearden is featuring mixed media art pieces from Christine Patterson this month in an exhibit called "New Encaustic Silhouette Beach Series." The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have time, stop by and check out the work! It's free to do so!

At noon in the visitor center, catch J.D. WIlkes and the Dirt Daubers perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with Rebekah Todd. It's free to attend, as always.

The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will have a gentle yoga and meditation class at 5:30 this evening. Donations will be accepted. For more info, call (865) 577-2021 or email yogaway249@gmail.com.

North Carolina folk-rockers Bombadil (and apparent LOTR fans) will perform at 7 p.m. for WDVX's Tennessee Shines show with R.B. Morris. Tickets are $10, which can be purchased earlier at the Blue Plate Special, or at the door (which opens at 6). Or just tune in on the radio.

If you're out and about around 10, head over to Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria and see Ha Ha Tonka perform. No cover!
