The Daily Plan-It: Books Sandwiched In, American Aquarium, and the Dave Rawlings Machine

Good morning and happy hump day! Here's what's going on today.

At noon, the Knox County Public Library will continue with its monthly reading series Books Sandwiched In at the East Tennessee History Center. This week local attorney and city council member Marshall Stair will lead a discussion on Gar Alperovitz's What Then Must We Do? Straight Talk About the Next American Revolution. It's free to attend. Later this afternoon at 2, Flying Anvil Theatre will continue with its writing for the stage series at Lawson McGhee Library. The series is winding down (the last one is Nov. 27), so be sure to get there! It's free to attend!

High-energy Americana outfit American Aquarium will perform at the Well at 8 p.m. with Jamie Cook. It's $8 to get in. 21+ only.

Also at 8, the Dave Rawlings Machine, helmed by the award-winning singer/songwriter Rawlings, will perform at the Bijou Theatre at 8 p.m. Tickets are sold out, so ask around! They were $25-$28. 

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub, where Radio Birds will perform at 10. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
