The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Devan Jones and the Uptown Stomp, Belly Dancing, and Keith Brown and the Nu Jazz Quartet

Good morning! It's almost Thanksgiving! Keep your eye on the prize (that bird) and get through the short week. And take a look at what's going on around town today.

At 11 a.m., bundle up the kiddos and head over to Smart Toys and Books for story time and activities. It's free to attend! For more info call (865) 691-1154.

Devan Jones and the Uptown Stomp will play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special at noon in the visitor center. It's free to attend! And if you miss them at lunchtime, you can catch the jazz outfit at the Preservation Pub at 10 p.m. (Cover's $3. 21+ only for that show.)

After work, head over to the Broadway Academy of Performing Arts and Events for a beginner class on tribal fusion belly dance, led by Claire Metz. It's $12 to take the class. More info here.

It's Comedy Con Queso night at the Well. If you open a tab after 9 p.m., you get free cheese! And, obviously, the chance to listen to some local comics do their thang. No cover! 21+ only.

Keith Brown, son of Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Donald Brown, and his band the Nu Jazz Quartet will bring their act to Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria tonight at 10. 21+ only.
