The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Fountain City Art Guild Holiday Show, Belly Dancing, and Wet Brain

Good morning! We are inching closer to the weekend, and probably some holiday parties. In the meantime, here's what's going on around town today.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can go check out the annual Fountain City Art Guild Holiday Show and Sale at the Fountain City Art Center. It'll be there through Dec. 18. (It's free to go check it out!)

At noon in the visitor center, singer/songwriter Cory Bishop will perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with folk-guitarist Bill Mize. As always, it's free to attend.

Speaking of holidays, before we all indulge in the glorious desserts of the season, you can squeeze in a workout at Southside Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Carrie Jackson will lead a zumba class. It's $5 to participate.

Or try out a beginners' belly dance class at Knox Dance Worx in West Knoxville. The class starts at 8, and it's $12 to participate. For more info, call (865) 898-2126 or email alexia@alexia-dance.com.

Wrap up the night at the Pilot Light, where Wet Brain, the Sniff, and Dude F--kin' Whatever will perform at 10 p.m. It's $5 to get in. 18+ only.
