The Daily Plan-It: Knoxville Writers' Group, A Swingin' Christmas, and Paper Bird

Good morning! The treetops aren't glistening, but it's still looking a lot like... Well, you know. Here's what's going on around town today.

The Knoxville Writers Group will meet at Naples at 11 a.m. Local writers will read from and discuss their work over lunch, which costs $12. For more info, call (865) 983-3740.

Later this afternoon at 4, head over to the Preservation Pub to catch some Sundress Academy for the Arts poets read from their work. It's free to attend! 21+ only.

Green Drinks Knoxville will meet at Suttree's High Gravity Tavern at 5:30 tonight. Folks who are interested, or work, in the environmental sector, head over to talk shop (and make new friends?). It's free to attend. 21+ only.

Guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli will join the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra for its annual holiday show 'A Swingin' Christmas' tonight at 8 at the Tennessee Theatre. Tickets are $15-$36.50. Buy them here.
