The Daily Plan-It: Nutrition Ammunition, Sierra Club Meeting, and Homegrown for the Holidays

Good morning! Well, it didn't really snow, and it wasn't too thrilling. Save the dashing for another day, folks! In the meantime, here's what's going on around town today. 

At noon, the Cancer Support Community of East Tennessee will have a nutrition ammunition class for cancer patients and survivors. For more info, call (865) 546-4661.

This evening at 5:30, the Atheists Society of Knoxville will meet at Barley's. All atheists and atheist-friendly folks are welcome to the weekly meeting. It's free to attend.

The Knox County Democratic Women's Club (the oldest Democratic women's club in the country) will meet at Shoney's on Western Ave tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. For more info call (865) 742-8234. 

The Harvey Broome Group, the local chapter of the Sierra Club, will have their monthly meeting tonight at 7 at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. Check out the group's website for more info. It's free to attend!

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub for Homegrown for the Holidays--musicians featured on WFIV's new compilation CD Homegrown for the Holidays will perform at 10. CD sales will benefit Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
