This evening at 7, the Children's Theatre of Knoxville will present a stage adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel "Little Women." Tickets are $12. More info here.
The Knoxville Gay Men's Chorus will present its second annual holiday concert "Holiday Lights" at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church at 8 p.m. It's $20 to attend.

The Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis kicks off at 8:30 a.m. from Market Square. Bundle up for that 5K! Online registration is close, but you can register the morning-of for $35. Get there early!
The East Tennessee History Center's Holiday Open House starts at 11 a.m. Ornament and craft making, cookies, and hot cider are involved. (And some holiday shopping, too, of course.)
From 5 to 8 p.m., there will be free tours of the Mabry-Hazen House, which is all decked out for Christmas. (Donations will be accepted.)
Comedian Ryan Singer will mull growing older (funnily! And with plenty of inappropriate jokes!) at the Pilot Light with Jeff Blank and Matt Ward at 8 p.m. It's $5 to get in. 18+ only.
Eight-man R&B combo Soulfinger will perform at the Preservation Pub at 10 p.m. Cover's $5. 21+ only.
After brunch, head over to the Clarence Brown Theatre at 2 p.m. for a showing of the classic Dickens tale "A Christmas Carol." Tickets are $15-$30. Buy them here.
