The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Job Help Mondays, Writers in the Library, and Velvet Elvis

Good morning! It's Monday again. Here's what's going on around town today.

At noon, grab your gym bag and head over to the Amused Life Collective (221 E. Cumberland Ave) for BellyFlow, a gentle dance class that focuses on belly dance-type moves with a flow similar to yoga. It's $5 to participate. More info here

It's job help Monday at Lawson McGhee Library from 1 to 3 p.m. At that time, reference librarians will be available to help with any step of the job application process. The service is absolutely free--check it out if you'd like some help!

Knoxville's Community Development Corporation (KCDC) will unveil its redevelopment strategy for the demolished Walter P. Taylor Homes (which we wrote about here),  the Dr. Lee L. Williams Senior Complex, and the entire Five Points area at the Walter P. Taylor Boys and Girls Club this evening at 5:30. It's open to the public, and the master plan will be posted on KCDC's website afterward.

UT's Writers in the Library series kicks off again for the spring semester with Chattanooga novelist Jamie Quatro. Quatro will talk about her work in Hodges Library tonight at 7. The event is free and open to the public.

Wrap up the night at the Preservation Pub, where Velvet Elvis will perform with Wichita Wolf. Cover's $3. 21+ only.
