The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Zumba, Comedy Con Queso, and Bret Mosley

Good morning! If you dare to venture out of your (hopefully warm) house today, there are a few things happening (although maybe call ahead to make sure).

At 11 a.m., Smart Toys and Books will have story hour and activities for some free entertainment. Bundle up your munchkins if you've got cabin fever! For more info call (865) 691-1154.

At 5:30 p.m., the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will have a gentle yoga and meditation class. Donations will be accepted. For more info call (865) 577-2021 or email

If you want to get a little warmer during your workout, check out the zumba class at John Sevier Baptist Church at 6:30. It's $5 to participate. Check out instructor Carrie Jackson's website for more info.

If you prefer cheese and booze as your warm-up of choice, head over to the Well at 9 p.m. for Comedy Con Queso Open Mic night. Local comics will try to make you laugh, and if you open a tab, you get free cheese. No cover! 21+ only.

Or head over to Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria for a pizza and beer, and stay for Bret Mosley's show at 10 p.m. No cover! 21+ only.
