The Daily Pulse:

It's Love Month at Holly's!

Local chef Holly Hambright (whom we wrote about in December 2012) is making February Love Month at her restaurants Holly's Corner and Holly's Homberg to benefit East Knoxville's Love Kitchen. That means you can bring donations* for the Love Kitchen to either restaurant, and in exchange you'll get a complimentary trio of Holly's homemade soups (which might be nice, considering the cold temps we might face this week). The drive will go on throughout February, so spread the love if you're so moved.

*Items the Love Kitchen needs are: commercial-sized (no. 10) cans of corn, green beans, green peas, and mixed vegetables; regular cans (no. 6 cans) of corn, green beans, potatoes, green peas, soup, and fruit; 1-pound bags of rice and dried beans; and toiletry items including soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand lotion, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, wash cloths and towels, shaving cream, and men's and women's razors.

Holly's Corner is located next door to Magpies (842 N. Central Ave), and Holly's Homberg as behind Nama Sushi Bar (5032 Whittaker Dr, Suite 3).
