Good morning and happy hump day! Here's what's going on around town today.

At 11 a.m., the Knoxville Writers' Group will meet for lunch and discussion at Naples. It's $12 to attend (that includes lunch). For more info, call (865) 983-3740.

The Bookaholics Book Group will meet at noon at Union Ave Books for its monthly meeting. It's free to attend, so if you'd like to join, head over to find out what the next book is.

Byron Janis, one of the great American pianists of the 20th century is celebrating his 85th birthday at UT, and is kicking off a weeklong celebration at 3 p.m. Janis will give a lecture in the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center entitled "Studies with Josef and Rosina Lhevinne, Adele Marcus, and Vladimir Horowitz." More details on the schedule of events here. It's free to attend!

Rock/R&B outfit St. Paul and the Broken Bones will perform at the Bijou Theatre at 8 p.m. with Steelism. Tickets are $16.50. Buy them here.

Wrap up the night at the Pilot Light for the comedy roast of Super Mario. Cover's $5.50-$8. 18+ only.
