The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: E-reader Help, Zumba, and Traditional Appalachian Dancing

Good morning! Hope everyone kept their power and stayed warm last night. And hopefully everyone threw a snowball! It's supposed to warm up this afternoon, but do call ahead to make sure everything's still on today.

At noon in the visitor center, Duane Clitt will perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special with Elise Davis. As always, it's free to attend.

This afternoon at 2, the Blount County Public Library will have a intro/help class on e-readers. If you're having trouble with yours, take it on over. It's free to attend! For more info (and to make sure it's still happening), call (865) 273-1436.

Carrie Jackson will lead a zumba class tonight at 6 at Southside Baptist Church. It's $5 to participate. More info at Jackson's website.

Tonight at 8, the Laurel Theater will host a traditional Appalachian square dance. It's $5-$7 to attend, and all ages are welcome! More info here.

Wrap up the night at the new Scruff City Hall, where vinyl dance night starts at 10 p.m. with Adam Bonomo of the Black Cadillacs. 18+ only.
