The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Pilates, U.S. Navy Concert Band, and the Broadcast

Good morning! We're closer to the weekend! And here's what's going on around town today.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., IRS-certified volunteers will be at the Knox County CAC (2247 Western Ave) to help low- to moderate-income folks file their taxes (for free!). More info here and by calling (865) 546-3500.

Shantell Ogden will perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special at noon in the visitor center with Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers. It's free to attend!

If you need to switch to an indoor workout today, Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church will have a pilates class at 6:30. The first class you take there is free, and then $4 per class or $24 per month. For more info email roxy@knoxvillepersonaltraining or call (865) 622-3103.

The U.S. Navy Concert Band is visiting Knoxville, and will perform tonight at 7 p.m. in UT's Alumni Memorial Building. It's free to attend, but you do need to pick up tickets, which are available at Rush's Music Store, Lunsford's Music, and the UT Band office.

Funky soul/classic rock band The Broadcast will play at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria tonight at 10. Cover's $5. 21+ only.
