The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Ansel Adams Exhibit, Bookaholics Book Group, and Afro

Good morning and happy hump day! Here's what's going on around town today.

The Knoxville Museum of Art opens at 10 a.m., and is currently featuring a collection of photos by Ansel Adams (he of black and white Yosemite photos fame). Three of the rare prints on display are of the Smoky Mountains in 1948. It's free to go check it out!

The Knoxville Writers' Group will meet at Naples at 11 a.m. for lunch and discussion about everyone's work. It's $12 to attend (which includes lunch). For more info, call (865) 983-3740.

The Bookaholics Book Group will have its monthly meeting at Union Ave Books at noon today. If you're interested in joining, go anyway to find out what next month's book is. It's free to attend!

Need to squeeze in a workout? Head over to the Amused Life Collective for a 30-minute dance-cardio class followed by 15 minutes of strength training. It's $5 to attend. More info here.

Wrap up the night at Scruffy City Hall, where Afro will play at 10 p.m. 21+ only.
