The Daily Plan-It: Books Sandwiched In, Gardening Classes at Beardsley, and Ben Kronenberg

Good morning and happy hump day. Here's what's going on around town.

If you've an itty-bitty, pack 'em up and take them to the Blount County Public Library in Maryville at 10:30 for Tadpole Tales (stories, puppets, and crafts) for kiddos up to age 2. It's free to attend!

At noon, head over to the East Tennessee History Center for Books Sandwiched In (sponsored by the Knox County Public Library). KCPL's own community relations director Mary Pom Claiborne will lead a discussion on Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Michael Moss' book Salt, Sugar, Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us. It's free to attend!

There are 12 days left to sign up for health insurance on the new marketplace. Today from 3 to 7 p.m., Tennessee Health Care Campaign volunteers will be at the South Knoxville Community Center to help anyone sign up for insurance. For more info, call (865) 693-7809. The assistance is free!

Beardsley Community Farm will host a free gardening class this evening at 5 p.m. Check out the farm's website or call (865) 546-8446 for more info.

Wrap up the night at the Well when the sun finally goes down. Ben Kronenberg, from the web series Ted and Gracie, will perform at 8 p.m. with Shane Rhyne and Jay Kendrick. 21+ only.
