Biscuitfest has already announced its line-up, but today brings word that its partner, the Southern Food Writing Conference, has finalized its list of speakers -- and there are some great ones coming. SO. EXCITED. YOU. GUYS.
We're thrilled Ted Lee is returning to town, and we always love talking to John T. Edge. But we also couldn't be more excited about hearing from Louisville's James Beard Award-nominated chef Edward Lee, of 610 Magnolia and MilkWood fame; culinary historian and cookbook author Damon Lee Fowler (who also wrote one of my all-time favorite introductions to one of my all-time favorite cookbook reprints); and Ronni Lundy, who is just amazingly smart and cool. Plus, editors from Southern Living, Garden & Gun, and the Washington Post! And the wonderful photographer Penny De Lo Santos of Saveur! And Nashville writer Jennifer Justus, who recently wrote a great story for our friends at the Nashville Scene on women chefs in Nashville -- including Husk's pastry chef, Lisa Donovan, who will also be at the conference!
I am not lying when I say that last year's SFWC was one of the most amazing conferences I've ever attended -- and not only because of the dinner at Blackberry Farm. Do not miss out on this. Register now.
