The Daily Plan-It: Lama Norlha Rinpoche, Zumba, and National Alliance on Mental Illness Support Group

Good morning! Happy April Fool's Day! It's too early for jokes, so take a look at what's going on around town today. (No foolin'!)

At noon, the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will have a gentle yoga and meditation class. Donations will be accepted. For more info, call (865) 577-2021 or email yogaway249@gmail.com

If you have time to stick around after yoga, the TVUUC will host Lama Norlha Rinpoche for a talk entitled "The Kind Heart: Developing Loving Kindness and Compassion" at 1 p.m. Rinpoche is the abbot of Kagyu Thubten Choling Monastary, and is the director of Kyabje Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche's Dharma centers in the eastern United States. It's free to attend! (Rinpoche will aslo give a talk on "Entering the Buddhist Path" tonight at 6:30 at Losel Shedrup Ling. It's $15 to attend.)

At 6 p.m., Carrie Jackson will teach a zumba class at Southside Baptist Church. It's $8 to participate. More info here.

At 6:30, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Knoxville will have a support group meeting for family and friends of people with mental illness. For more info, call (865) 602-7807. It's free to attend.

Wrap up the night at the Well, where Stevie Jones will perform at 10 p.m. There's no cover tonight! 21+ only.
