The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Yoga, Comedy Con Queso, and the KMS Trio

Good morning! Everyone survive the weekend? Great. Take a look at what's going on around town today.

At noon in the visitor center, check out Haley Dreis, who'll play for WDVX's Blue Plate Special along with Sarah Clanton Shaffer. As always, it's free to attend.

After work, head over to the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church for some gentle yoga and meditation. Donations will be accepted. For more info, call (865) 577-2021 or email

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Knoxville will continue its eight-week course for those who need some help coping with a loved one's mental illness tonight at 6:30 at First Farragut United Methodist Church. It's free to attend, but call ahead: (865) 671-0703 or (865) 406-3092.

It's Comedy Con Queso Open Mic Night at the Well. After 9 p.m., when you open a tab, you get free cheese (while local comics try to make you laugh). No cover! 21+ only.

Wrap up the night at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria at 10 p.m., where the KMS Trio (featuring Daniel Kimbro, Chad Melton, and Mike Seals) will perform. No cover! 21+ only.
