In honor of Knoxville's Craft Beer Week, the Public House is holding a contest celebrating beer cocktails. If your drink is judged the best, the bar will actually serve it for a month! But everyone will get to taste the most intriguing recipes and decide which one should go on the menu. So even if you don't enter the contest, you still win, because you get to taste a lot of sure-to-be amazing concoctions.
Here's the scoop from the bar:
Beginning May 29, as we head into Knoxville's Craft Beer week, we will be holding the first ever (for us at least), Beer-Cocktail THROW DOWN. We all know you have game when it comes to drinking and being awesome, so here's your chance to get a drink featured at the bar and have the bragging rights as the original, first ever, winner of our THROW DOWN. Note, you do not have to live here to enter!To enter your recipe, you can submit it via our website www.knoxpublichouse.com/contact.The rules are straightforward. All recipes must include beer, exact measurements and instructions, and your contact info, including twitter handle if you have one. The THROW DOWN is open to everyone, whether you are a bartender, customer or at home mixologist. Please feel free to forward this information along to anyone who might want to enter.How this plays out. Recipes due to the Public House by midnight May 23. The Craft Beer Week Board will pick their 6 favorite recipes. Starting MAY 29 and for the next 2 Thursdays (June 5 and 12), we will put 2 of the 6 recipes head to head at the bar. Our bartenders will make taster sizes of each, and the public will vote. On JUNE 19, Knoxville's Craft Beer Week, we will put the 3 winners up against each other. Same deal, we make the drinks, customers cast their votes. The next day we will crown the winner and feature the winning cocktail for the rest of the month at the bar!
