The Daily Plan-It: Books Sandwiched In, the Infamous Stringdusters, and Ebony Eyes

Happy hump day! Take a look at what's going on around town today. 

At noon in the East Tennessee History Center, the Knox County Public Library's Books Sandwiched In series continues with a discussion on John Mackey's Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business. UT law prof Joan Heminway will lead the discussion. It's free to attend!

This afternoon at 5, the Medical Humanities Series at the UT Medical Center will feature a play adaptation of the short story "Fetishes," by surgeon Richard Selzer. After the performance, the doctors reading the play will discuss several themes presented.

At 6 p.m., head over to the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture for an intermediate-level dance class form Circle Modern Dance. It's $5 to participate. More info here.

The Infamous Stringdusters will perform at the Bijou Theatre tonight at 8. Tickets are $17. Buy them here.

Wrap up the night at the Pilot Light, where Ebony Eyes will perform around 10 with Concord America and Hey Rocco. Cover's $5. 18+ only.
