The Daily Plan-It: Knoxville Writers' Group, Rye Baby, and Ballet

Good morning, and happy hump day! We're halfway through the week! So take a look at what's going on around town today.

At the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture, check out the exhibit featuring works from 25 members of the Depot Artists Association from Abingdon, Va. It's free to go take a look, and the Emporium is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Knoxville Writers' Group will meet at 11 a.m. at Naples for lunch and discussion. It's $12 to attend, which includes lunch. Call (865) 983-3740 for more info.

At noon in the visitor center, Rye Baby will perform for WDVX's Blue Plate Special. It's free to attend! Bring your lunch and a friend!

Knox Heritage's "preservation and libations" happy hour meet-up will be at the Crown and Goose from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Go chat about preserving Knoxville's oldest buildings with the folks who know the most about the issue.

Wrap up the night back at the Emporium Center, where Colleen Moore will teach an open-level ballet class at 7:30. It's $5 to participate. More info here.
